Mr. Shaw and Dr. Dale both participated in the campus cleanup on Costa Pride Day. Senior ASB member Leah James shovels wood chips into a trash can for another ASB member to take to another part of the Mira Costa campus. The campus cleanup was mainly completed by ASB members, who woke up before 9 AM to help at Costa Pride Day. Students and staff used tools to ease the process of cleaning the school. Senior ASB member Max Taylor bends to pull dead leaves out of the vegetation near the Small Theater and Band room. Costa Pride Day included picking up trash, maintaining plant growth, and clearing pathways for students to easily migrate to different classes. ASB member Emma Doyle picks weeds from the soil in a planter near the cafeteria. Gardening played an important role in Costa Pride Day, as the Mira Costa campus possesses a wide variety of vegetative features.
