Joggers and walkers wait behind the start line of the Grand View Gator 5k on May 20. The run brought together the community to raise funds for the Manhattan Beach Education Foundation.
The car leads the 5k participants during the race and directs them through the race course. A man and a gator sat in the car to show off Grand View Elementary School spirit and pride.
Two men and a young boy start the 5k off strong and are in the upper part of the pack. Runner tried to sprint their way to the top of the pack, so they can finish in the top spots.
Braden Kennedy runs in the 5k and is wearing this year’s t-shirt for the Grand View Gator run. Participants were given t-shirts to wear during the race and a bib number to track their time.
A dad and his two sons are jogging in the middle pack with other joggers around them. The top pack consisted of sprinters, middle pack of joggers, and back pack of walkers.
