Mira Costa Seniors greet each other at a Prom “pre-party”. The Mira Costa students met before leaving for Prom in order to take pictures and apply their boutonnieres and corsages.
Two Mira Costa Seniors admire the 2017 Mira Costa venue at Universal Studios in Universal City, Hollywood. Prom was held in a theatre directly adjacent to the Despicable Me, Minion Mayhem attraction, but students were not permitted to ride it.
Mira Costa Junior Tammy Solo chooses a dessert between a wide array of sweets, ranging from chocolate strawberries to mini tiramisu. Students were provided with a large selection of food choices, between mashed potatoes, pasta, and salad.
Mira Costa Juniors and Seniors congregate outside of the theatre in which the dance was held. Students were permitted seating inside the venue, as well as outside, to prevent over-heating.
Mira Costa students in attendance to the Prom vote for Prom “Duke and Duchess”. At the end of the dance, the students voted for senior Ronald Clinton as the Prom Duke, and senior Kalea Frank as the Prom Duchess.
