Cara Chittenden is staying in the lead of the girls fist cross country home meet with running three miles. Cara has been running on Mira Costa Cross Country team for two years and her sister Melia was ranked first in the state last year.

Cross Country Junior varsity runners Megan Garringer (left), Alexandra Bedingfield (middle), and Amanda Costley (right) are supporting their fellow Varsity teammates in finishing the run. The Junior varsity runners always keep along with the run for the past meets and upcoming ones.

Sophomore, Carmen Melia running with Varsity and Is infant of a fellow Redondo Union runner. Carmen has been training her whole freshman year to take on this spot for Varsity and has been performing well in every meet.

Olivia Hacohen is running towards the finish line to win the 3 mile race for Varsity girls. Olivia has been running since freshman year and is now a junior and has been working towards past runner Melia Chittenden’s times.

These are the seven girls varsity runners for Mira Costa Cross Country that participated in this three mile race around the school. Mira Costa ended up winning this meet, thanks to Olivia Hacohen coming in first place.
