1. Senior Trever Van’t Hof is setting up a warm-up drill, placing down cones a few yards apart from each other on the 30 yard line. The girls varsity soccer team started to warm-up an hour before game time.
2. Van’t Hof is giving a pep talk to freshmen Hannah Bruhns (left) and Sydney Saypack (right) before their game against Torrance on Dec. 11. This was the varsity’s first game of the pre-season on the new field.
3. Junior Kayla Brunick is passing the ball down the line for her teammate to run onto. Costa scored three of their five goals off of through balls.
4. Sophomore Ashley Weaver heads the ball into Torrance’s goal off of a corner kick. Brunick delivered the ball to Weaver off of a corner kick, and she got a head on it to make the score 4-0.
5. Sophomore Ashley Stepczyk steps in front of her defender and is first to the ball. Costa was first to the ball for the majority of the game, in the air and on the ground.
