The board meeting for the Manhattan Beach Unified School District took place Tuesday the 17th in the District Office at 7pm. The board talked about many issues and introduced many new things.
Costa’s two student representatives, senior Keeli Hartley and junior Rebecca Rawson, attend the board meeting and report Costa’s news of the month. Hartley and Rawson talked about the Comedy Sportz match and the cheerleading team availability.
Mike Matthews and Karen Komatinsky present Manhattan Beach’s new police chief at the board meeting this month. Matthews and Komanitinsky presented the chief with a book of drawings made by a first grade class.
Local Manhattan Beach parent presents a problem with Grandview’s trailers to the board this month. She expressed how these trailers have mold growing in them and was concerned that it would effect the students and faculty.
The board meeting that took place on the 17th consists of many of the board members reporting on the events that happened since the last meeting. Many new things were brought to attention and will be discussed at the next board meeting in February.
