Randomly selected teachers gather in the Small Theatre for the Teacher Fishbowl created by the Stress and Emotional Wellness Committee. The purpose of The Fishbowl was to have teachers answer questions about the stress that teachers face.
Junior Erin Pulver conducts the Teacher Fishbowl by administering a question and answer type of discussion. The discussion included questions such as general stress, test making, and outside activities.
AP Environmental Science Teacher Mr. Kurz answers how long it takes on average for a teacher to make a test. Most of the teachers said it takes them about two to four hours to create tests and quizzes.
Chemistry Teacher Ms. Nielson explains that a lot of teachers have activities outside of work such as taking care of their family, volunteer work, and hobbies. Some teachers even still participate in sports; for example, Mrs. Qerbash plays soccer after work quite often.
Teachers, students, and parents come to the Small Theatre to watch the Teacher Fishbowl. The audience consisted of mostly fellow teachers and administrators, along with a few parents and students.
