Mira Costa faculty, students and guest organizations hosted the first Science Technology Engineering and Math Night on March 26 in the cafeteria.
The event included demonstrations, interactive activities and discussions about the importance of STEM fields in the world today. Attendees learned about STEM related topics and participated in demonstrations with local engineering and science companies, such as Northrop Grumman.
“STEM is a hugely growing field, and it is predicted that there will not be enough people to fill the STEM jobs for quite a while,” Costa’s Technology and Engineering Lead Leanne Weaver said. “It is important to let people know what is out there and how cool STEM is.”
