Track triumphs in first meet

The Mira Costa track team hit the road to kick off the season on March 3. At Warren High School, the boys emerged victorious 89.5-46.5 while the girls held their own with a final score of 72-64.

The boys swept the distance events as senior Brett Douville won the 800m race and junior Adam Perez won both the mile and the two mile. In the sprints, Kyle Hubbard cleared his hurdles winning both the 110 and the 300 hurdles. Finally, the 4×4 relay team won to close the victory for the Mustangs.

On the girls side, senior Aryn Foland won the girls mile. In the sprints, junior Ashley Dotson swept both the 100 and the 200m races.

The Mustangs host their first home meet of the season on March 5, competing against both Santa Monica High School and El Segundo High School.
