Mira Costa’s annual Black History Month Assembly, hosted by the Black Scholars Union club, was held in the auditorium during fourth period. Members of Costa’s Black Scholars Union club raise paper phoenixes while Costa English teacher Shawn Chen recites the poem, “Still I Rise” by Maya Angelou. The Black History Month assembly took place today in the auditorium.
