Hermosa Beach announced on Jan. 30th that the city will receive a federal grant of $1 million to address the homeless population in the area. The money from the grant will be used to establish a “Mobile Crisis Response Program” that replaces police with social workers in responses to non-emergency situations involving homeless individuals.
