The Mira Costa boys soccer team triumphed over Redondo Union High School in a win on Tuesday, Jan. 31. The Mustangs’ win makes their Bay League record 2-2-3 and their overall record 7-7-7.
The game began at 6 p.m. on the Mustangs’ home field, and resulted in Costa’s 4-1 win against Redondo Union High School. Although Redondo scored in the first half, Costa was able to get it back with junior Grant Southwood‘s goal.
In the second half, the Mustangs took it up a knotch with a goal from senior Jess Chamberlain, assisted by senior Bradley Baeuchler. Not long after came two other goals from Southwood and senior Michael De Virgilio.
The boys next game will take place on Friday, Feb. 3 at their home field against Leuzinger at 3 p.m.
