The Mira Costa girls volleyball team played its second non-league game against the Edison Chargers on Wednesday September 6 at home and won, 3-0.
Costa came up in the beginning with a 6-0 run in the first set and dominated the second set with a rally with six digs, resulting in an 8-0 run. They closed out the game coming up from a deficit of three points with the help of senior Carly Muller who had a total of 26 digs.
Seniors Corie Bain and Grayce Campbell had nine digs each, but Campbell led the offense with 10 kills. Senior Lexi Millington was close behind her with a total of eight kills.
Costa’s record is now 1-1 as they prepare for league in their next preseason match against Marymount on Tuesday September 11 on the road.
