On Tuesday Sept. 11, the Mira Costa girls golf team defeated Redondo High School with 234 to 185 strokes at Alondra Golf Course. The Mustangs are currently 1-1 in Bay League and 2-2 overall.
Freshman Andrea Lee finished with 36 strokes, junior Megan Kim with 38 and junior Jenny Johnson with 40. Senior Raquel Gordon finished with 37 and senior Marni Murez with 40.
“We have a set of really good girls this season,” Coach Tim Kelley said. “Everyone is looking good and we’re proud of our first win.”
The next match will played at home against Redondo at Chester Golf Course on Thursday Sept 13.
