The Mira Costa girls JV volleyball team defeated Chaminade High School on Sept. 18.
The girls ended the game winning all 2 sets. Sophomores Katrina Kernochan and Ashley Anselmo had a total of 9 kills, 3 blocks, 4 aces and 3 digs.
“There were some problems, however, we overcame them as a team and came out with a win,” sophomore Kyra Collins said.
The Mustangs’ next game will be played on Wednesday Sept. 26 against Palos Verdes at PV High. The team’s next home game will be played on Oct. 3 against Laguna Beach.
