The Mira Costa girls golf team defeated West Torrance High School, 185-224 at Chester Washington Golf Course on Tuesday, Sept. 25. The Mustangs are currently 5-0 in Bay League with one tournament win.
Junior Megan Kim and freshman Andrea Lee shot under par with 34 shots and 35 shots, respectively. Seniors Kari and Raquel Gordon shot 38 and 39, respectively and freshman Marni Murez shot 39.
“We have already won 3 of our 5 matches with scores under our previous years record of 191 shots,” said Coach Tim Kelley, “We are going to push for for 180 shots in the future.”
The girls’ next match is on Thursday Sept. 27 on the road at Alondra Golf Course against West Torrance.
