The Mira Costa junior varsity football team lost to West Torrance High School 45-22 on Thursday. The team’s record is currently 0-1 in Bay League and 3-3 overall.
Sophomore Dathan Baily stood out among others rushing for the most yards on the team.
“The game was going well until some of our best players got injured,” sophomore defensive lineman Quin Rau said. “Overall, we need to improve.”
The team’s next game will be on Oct. 11 against Palos Verdes at home at 3:15 p.m.
