The Mira Costa girls tennis team beat Palos Verdes High School 10-8 on Tuesday, Oct. 9, making the team’s record 11-1.
Sophomore Brooke Swallow won two of her matches as did Junior Paula Cenusa. Doubles partners seniors Carly and Hanna McGuire won their sets 6-4 and 6-0. Doubles partners, junior Sidney Ashcer and senior Sulibeth Ortiz-Torres also won their match 6-3.
“Today I felt we did really well and overall our team is doing great which is really exciting,” Ortiz-Torres said. “I am really proud to be a part of this team. Everyone is nice and works extremely hard.”
The girls’ next match will be at home against Palisades Charter High School on Wednesday Oct. 10 at 3:00.
