The Mira Costa girls tennis team defeated West Torrance High School 14-4 in their match on Tuesday, Oct. 16. Their overall record is now 13-1 and their Bay League Record is 6-1.
Junior Paula Cenusa won all three of her sets against West with scores of 7-5, 6-2, and 6-0. Seniors Susana Sieke and Lauren Watts won their set 6-4. Subbing in for Sieke and Watts were seniors Juliana Hoft and Alex Waller who won their two sets, 6-4 and 6-2.
“I think the match went really well and we all played hard, which helped us win,” Waller said.
The girls will play at Peninsula High School on Thursday, Oct. 18.
