The Mira Costa girls tennis team played a close match against Peninsula High School on Oct. 18. The Mustangs lost 10-8 making the team’s overall record 13-2 and Bay League record 6-2.
Sophomore singles player Brooke Swallow won two of her sets 6-2. Sophomore, Taylor Klein also won two sets, 6-0 and 6-1 in the closing match. Senior doubles partners Kayla Tarlton and junior Sidney Ascher won their set 6-4.
“We worked really hard for this match but Peninsula was just a stronger team today,” Klein said.
The girls will play against Redondo Union High School on Monday, Oct. 22 at home.
