The Mira Costa girls varsity tennis team won 11-7 in their match on Oct. 22 against Redondo Union High School. Their Bay League record is currently 7-2 and their overall record is 14-2.
Costa singles players had a great first round of sets. Junior Paula Cenusa won her set 6-3 against redondos number one singles player. Sophomore Brooke Swallow beat Redondos number two singles player in one of her sets, 6-0. Sophomore Mai Nojima also won her set 6-2 against Redondos number three singles player.
“We have been playing really hard and it was great to come back with a win after last weeks loss,” Nojima said.
The girls will play their last League match at home on Tuesday, Oct. 23 against Chadwick at 3:00.
