Following a win of 2 sets to 0 against Palos Verdes on October 17 , the Mira Costa girls junior varsity volleyball team defeated West Torrance on Oct. 23. The girls ended the game up 2 sets to 0, winning the first set 25-11, and winning the second set 25-15.
Key players include Kyra Collins who had a total on seven kills and 1 block and her teammate Erin Sagisi who had four kills, four blocks, and 1 service ace.
“Our offensive game was really strong and I think that we attacked their defense very well” said sophomore Kyra Collins.
The Girls Junior Varsity Volleyball team has their next game on Thursday, October 25th at Peninsula. Their next home game will be on Wednesday, October 30th where they will play against Redondo at 6:00 p.m.
