The Mira Costa boys varsity water polo team defeated Tesoro High School on Saturday, Nov. 10 with a score of 7-6.
Throughout the game, seniors Cody Kelley, Jimmy Bissell and Mitchell Trainoff each scored a goal. When the game was tied in the end of the fourth quarter, senior Sam Siltanen scored the game winning goal in the last few seconds.
“Sam played really well throughout the whole match on Saturday and further displayed his abilities by scoring the winning goal,” Bissell said.
The boys’ next match will be away on Wednesday, Nov. 14 against Martin Luther King Jr. School.
