The Mira Costa girls varsity soccer team had their first match against Bishop Montgomery on Monday Nov. 26, which ended in a 0-0 tie.
Eight of the team’s starters had to sit out due to a conflict with club soccer. The girls struggled with maintaining their defense but were able to stop all goals.
“The players that had the opportunity to move up from JV for this game really stepped up and played great,” senior Kara Enomoto said. “We were just unlucky in the end not to finish.”
The girls’ next game will be on Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 3pm at Santa Monica High School.
