The Mira Costa boys varsity soccer team played a home game against Animo High School on Tuesday Dec. 4 and lost 3-0.
Amino High School scored three goals in the first half. Coming back into the second half the Costa boys tried to get on the scoreboard but were unsuccessful. The game ended in regulation time and no cards were given.
“Amino had a lot of technically skilled players that our individual athleticism was not able to match,” senior forward Grant Southwood said. “Once we get a few more practices under our belt we will be able to play better as a team.”
The boys have a preseason record of 1-1 and their next game will take place on Thursday, Dec.6 away against South East High School.
