The Mira Costa girls varsity soccer team played Chadwick High School on Wednesday Dec. 5. The Mustangs won 4-1, at home.
Junior Mandy McKeegan scored two goals, one with an assist from senior Alyssa Lloja. They were followed by a goal from junior Megan Carver and then sophomore McKenna Doyle. Senior Kirby Benson also had two assists.
“We all worked together and had a lot of shots on the goal,” Benson said. “We gave it 100% the whole game and it ended up working in our favor.”
The girls’ next game will be on Friday Dec. 7 at the South Torrance Holiday Tournament.
