The girls basketball team lost 50-41 on Wednesday Dec. 5 against Thousand Oaks in their second game of the La Habra tournament.
At the end of the first quarter, the Mustangs were ahead 14-9, but could not hold La Habra. The girls were ahead until the fourth quarter when Thousand Oaks scored 19 points to win the game.
“We played hard but we still have to work on our communication on the court,” junior Shannon Savino said. “We have a lot of talent and I know we will come together to be ready for Bay League.”
The girls will continue in the La Habra tournament with a game on Dec. 6.
