The Mira Costa girls basketball team was victorious on Thursday, Dec. 6 against La Mirada High School. The Mustangs were ahead throughout game and won 58-45.
Costa’s top scorer was junior Camille Mills who scored fourteen points for the Mustangs. She was followed by sophomore Keilani Ikehara with ten points. The girls took the lead from the start, finishing the first quarter ahead, 12-3.
“This tournament has given us many learning opportunities from both good and not so good performances but luckily they all played great this game,” coach Miranda Biteler said.
The girls will play on Friday, Dec. 7 for third place in the La Habra tournament against Capo Valley.
