The Mira Costa varsity water polo team won their first home game on Thursday, Dec. 6 against Arroyo Grande 11-10 in double overtime.
Arroyo Grande and Mira Costa were tied 10-10 at the end of the fourth quarter. The game went into two overtime periods. Junior Jordan Raney scored the final goal to win the game at 11-10.
“It was such an exciting game,” sophomore Sage Roebuck said. “When Jordan scored we were all so happy. It was a great first home win.”
