Even the rain couldn’t stop the hottest new artists from giving it their all as they performed on the Jingle Ball Village stage this Saturday, December 1 2012. With many upbeat performances and pleased fans, Kiis FM proved once again why their annual Jingle Ball event is such a success.
Every year since 2000, Kiis FM has been hosting Jingle Ball, a concert with a long line-up of popular artists who are featured on their radio station daily. Before the concert, they host a pre-show called the Jingle Ball Village, where they give new, up and coming artists a chance to perform.
This year’s artist lineup for the Jingle Ball Village was far from unexciting. As performers such as Eva Universe and Jasmine Villegas hit the stage, fans quickly responded and danced along to the upbeat tunes.
When the first performer, Eva Universe, took the stage for her second year in a row, her positive energy was immediately transmitted to the rest of the crowd. She proved her talent as she sang perfectly in tune while constantly dancing around the stage. Her tremendously talented back-up dancers added a splash of fun to the performance and made it impossible for the audience to take their eyes off the stage. “It’s awesome performing for young crowds since they are so energetic. The fans are great”, said Eva.
The next performer, Eighteen year old Jasmine Villegas, proved that you’re never too young to go after your dreams. She’s been performing ever since she was eleven years old and her experience was evident in her performance. She wowed the crowd with her exceptional vocals and catchy songs, and her fans weren’t hesitant to run up to her and ask for autographs when the show was over. Like a pro, she greeted fans with a smile and made sure to give them all her attention. “It was an amazing feeling to perform on this stage for my first time. I love when my fans sing along and know all the lyrics-they’re very supportive” said Jasmine.
Not only were fans supportive of all the artists, but all the artists were supportive of each other. Everyone was greeted with love and positive energy as they made their way backstage after performing. “You looked amazing up there!” said Jasmine as she gave Eva a welcoming hug.
As the crowd exited the village stage with smiles and posters of the new artists, it was evident that having Eva and Jasmine on the line-up was a smart choice. And who knows…maybe one day we’ll even see them on the big stage.
