The Mira Costa High School varsity basketball team beat West Torrance High School on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 54-47 in an away game. The Mustangs are now 1-0 in Bay League.
Seniors Ryan Kaseff and Kevin Kim scored 8 and 14 points respectively, and junior Justin Strings scored 13 points.
“We played well,” Coach Jeff Amaral said. “West is a physically tough team and we matched their toughness.”
The Mustangs face rival Redondo Union High School at home on Friday, Jan.11.
