The Mira Costa girls basketball team beat rival Redondo Union High School 59-57 on Friday Jan. 11 in their second Bay League game of the season.
Senior Camille Mills scored an important 16 points for the Mustangs. The girls held the lead on the Seahawks at the end of the third quarter 37-46. Sophomore Keilani Ikehara scored a total of 19 points.
“I’m really proud of how the girls played,” coach Miranda Biteler said. “It was a really intense game and was really too close at the end. This was a huge win for us and I am confident that the girls will continue to improve.”
The girls will play Leuzinger high school at home on Tuesday Jan. 15.
