On Tuesday, Jan. 16 the boys varsity soccer team played their third Bay League game against Leuzinger High School. The boys lost the game 2-5.
In the first half, senior Grant Southwood scored one goal to tie the game and ended the half with a score of 1-1. In the second half, Southwood scored another goal. However, Leuzinger was able to score four more goals and won the game 5-2.
“It was close up until the last two minutes,” Southwood said. “Once they scored their fourth goal we kind of gave up.”
The boys’ Bay League Record is now 0-2-1 and their next game will take place on Friday, Jan. 18 away at Palos Verdes High School.
