The Mira Costa High School boys varsity basketball team was victorious in an away match against Peninsula High School, with a score of 57-49 on Friday, Jan. 18. The Mustangs are now 3-2 in Bay League.
Seniors Connor Kernochan and Kevin Kim scored 14 and 10 points respectively, and junior Justin Strings scored 17 points.
“I think we played well during the whole game” senior Tim Shar said. When Peninsula made a run late in the game, we handled the pressure well and came away with a victory.”
The Mustang’s next match is Tuesday, Jan. 22 away against Palos Verde High School.
