The Mira Costa High School boys varsity basketball team defeated Palos Verdes High School, 62-53, in an away match on Tuesday Jan. 22. The Mustangs are now 4-2 in Bay League.
“Talent wise, we were better than them but they just played really hard and did things that kept them in the game,” senior Austin Torren said. “We didn’t keep them out of the paint defensively and that’s where they got most of their points throughout the game. Either way we were happy to pick up the win.”
The Mustangs’ next match is Friday Jan. 25 at home against West Torrance.
