The varsity boys soccer team played an away game against Leuzinger High School on Friday Feb.1 and lost, 3-1. The boys’ record is now 1-5-2.
Leuzinger scored two goals in the first half while Costa was not able to score any. In the second half, junior Matt Beuder scored for Costa. Leuzinger was able to score one more time before the game ended bringing the final score to 3-1.
“It was a tough loss for the team moral,” senior captain Grant Southwood said. “At least we were able to get one goal in so it wasn’t a shutout.”
The boys next game will be on Tuesday Feb. 5 against Peninsula High School.
