Coming off a walk-off win, the Mira Costa baseball team added to their win streak with a win over Junipero Serra High School on Thursday, March 7. The Mustangs mercied Serra 11-1 in the sixth inning. The Mustangs are now 3-0 in the El Segundo Tournament.
The Mustangs were able to score six runs in the fifth inning in the victory. Senior Christian Reynolds pitched the first five innings and held Serra to only one run.
“We had solid defense throughout the game,” senior pitcher Gordon Cardenas said. “It was another great team win.”
The Mustangs play again on Saturday at 7 pm against rival Palos Verdes High School in the championship game.
