The Mira Costa boys volleyball team played an away game in Hawaii against Punahou High School. The Mustangs lost in four games.
Costa came out strong in the first game, but lost the lead in the middle of the game and ended up losing 25-22. Going into the second match, the boys surged back with a 25-20 win, tying the game 1-1. However, Punahou was able to secure the third and fourth games with scores of 25-23, and 25-21; therefore, beating out Mira Costa for a match win.
“It was a tough loss for us,” senior Riley Mallon said. “We played our hardest but they are an amazing team and this loss will only make us better.”
The boys next game will take place on Thursday April 11 at home against Palos Verdes High School.
