The Mira Costa softball team faced Palos Verdes High School at home on April 24. The Mustangs defeated the Sea Kings 7-4, remaining undefeated in Bay League with a 5-0 record.
Sophomore Kasey Hutton went 1-for-1, scoring one run with one run batted in. Senior Taylor Glover went 1-for-3 and scored two runs in the victory. Sophomore Brittany Werre went 1-for-3 with a double and one run batted in. She also scored two runs for Costa.
“We didn’t play our best but fought through and pulled out the win,” Glover said. “We are happy with our win and I think we definitely will continue to improve and score more runs next game.”
The Mustangs play against Palos Verdes Peninsula at home tomorrow at 3:15.
