The Mira Costa golf team lost on April 25 to South Torrance High School at Chester Washington Golf Course. The Mustangs lost by a score of 194-186, tying them with South Torrance for the Bay League title. The Mustangs finished their season with an overall record of 16-2 and a League record of 9-1.
“We had some tough breaks in the last match, but we were still able to achieve our goal of winning Bay League in the end,” senior Jordan Sarnoff said.
Junior C.J. Coleman led the team in the match with 36 strokes. CIF team playoffs begin next week and will be followed by individual playoffs.
“I think our season was pretty good overall,” Sarnoff said. “We played really well the whole season and were undefeated for most of it.”
