The Mira Costa swim team competed in the Bay League boys prelims on Tuesday and the girls prelims on Wednesday at Peninsula High School.
On Tuesday, senior Michael Brown won his heat in the 200-meter individual medley, advancing him to the next round. On Wednesday, seniors Akemi Aiello, Meriel Mitsakos, Macielle Osterling and junior Giuliana Franco won the 4-by-50 relay.
The Bay League co-ed finals will take place today at Peninsula.
“Everyone is really looking forward to the finals, and hopefully we can do well,” junior Sophia Hannah-Chang said.
