In a home tournament, the Mira Costa baseball team beat Crespi High School 6-4 and Bell High School 3-1 both on Saturday, April 20.
In the first game, senior Chris Alcala pitched the first six innings then senior Kevin Lopez closed the game. In the second game, sophomore Michael Rumpp pitched the first six innings and Lopez finished during the seventh inning again.
“It was a good day for us offensively,” senior center fielder Keyon Allen said. “We hit the ball and scored runs for our pitchers. It is always a good feeling to take both games in a double header.”
