The Mira Costa softball team faced West Torrance High School on May 3 in an away conference game. The Mustangs won 10-3 and now have a 7-1 Bay League record with a 19-6-1 record overall.
Senior Taylor Glover went 3-for-4 with a triple and a homerun and four RBIs. Sophomore Sammy Matson went 2-for-3 with a double. She scored two runs for the Mustangs. Senior Kathy Orozco went 2-for-3 with one RBI and also scored two runs.
“It was a great win because everyone had a lot of energy and it showed in how we played,” Glover said. “Our hitting was pretty strong and our communication on the field helped us come out with the win.”
The girls next play at Marine West Park against Redondo Union High School on May 7.
