The Mira Costa varsity girls golf team played against South Torrance at Los Verbos on Tuesday. The Mustangs won 198-220.
Senior Megan Kim, freshman Ashley Kim both shot a 38 on the course while sophomore Mari Murez shot a 39 in the team’s victory.
“I felt as though the girls played very well due to the fact that it was our first game,” coach Timothy Kelley said. “I think we can improve our game and hopefully we will continue to win and improve.”
The girls next match will be held on Thursday at 2:45 at Chester Washington against South Torrance High School.
