The Mira Costa girls varsity tennis team won its match, 11-4, against Brentwood High School on Monday at Brentwood.
Junior Brooke Swallow and freshman Amy Gaal won their matches. In doubles, senior Sidney Ascher and junior Dana Sternthal and freshmen Isabella Draskovic and Katarina Draskovic were victorious in their matches. Senior Paula Cenusa and junior Mai Nojima also defeated Brentwood in doubles.
“I think we all played really well,” Gaal said. “They had some pretty strong players but everyone on our team pulled the weight and in the end, that’s how we managed to beat Brentwood.”
The next game is scheduled to take place on Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Peninsula High School.
