The Advanced Women’s Chorale will travel to Sacramento tomorrow to perform at the California Teacher of the Year Gala.
The choir will sing the national anthem, “Ouvre Ton Coeur” and “I Thank you God For Most This Amazing Day.”
“I am the first chorale director to be a California Teacher of the Year, so the presence of a choir at this event is exciting,” choir director Michael Hayden said.
Advanced Women’s Chorale will return from its annual two-day choir retreat in Frasier Park, California on Saturday. According to many choir members, the retreat is meant to be a bonding experience to bring students closer together.
“There are a lot of team-building exercises,” junior Brighten Lindberg said. “It’s supposed to bring us closer together, and I am looking forward to getting to know everyone better.”
