Student Government welcomes new students with a luncheon

Student Government hosted the New Student Luncheon at the auditorium on Sept. 22.

Student Government members checked off the new students on list as they came in. Attendees were provided with lunch: pizza and a variety of beverages were served.

“Meeting ASB members is a great way to get students involved, also putting people in a friendly setting gives the opportunity to get new students who may be shy interacting is beneficial to them by helping meet new friends as well as learning the things they need to know about Costa,” Student Government member Danielle Kay said.

All Student Government members were present to converse with new students and gave information and answered questions about the social life at Mira Costa High School.

The administrators also made brief appearances during the luncheon. This event was considered to be a success according to the administrators. The auditorium was filled with Student Government members and new students alike; the large turnout was due to much publicity of the event in addition to a multitude of new students.
