On Oct 1, Costa’s cross country participated in the South Bay Cup competing against different schools in the south bay league.
Costa raced against a total of six schools in the boy’s varsity race. Costa came in second, following West Torrance. The average time of all the Varsity runners was 13:52 for the two and a half mile course. Calderon changed the junior varsity and varsity teams at this meet, so most of the varisty boys were placed in the JV race. Senior Brandon Shirazi came in first in the boy’s JV race, with a time of 13:50. The top three runner following Shirazi were all from Costa.
The next meet is the League Meet is on Oct 16 at Peninsula.
