Senior outside hitter, Skylar Caputo, led the team with 18 kills and 12 digs. Assisting in the fight for victory was sophomore outside hitter Hannah Scott with 12 kills and junior Emma Smith with 27 digs for the Mustangs.
“It’s always an exciting match when we get to face off against tough rivals,” Smith said. “We all played our part and put in great effort but it was a close match that we couldn’t hold onto in the end.”
The girls first league game is against Palos Verdes High School, at Costa on Thursday at 5:15.
