The Mira Costa girls volleyball team faced Los Alamitos High School on Friday Sept 26. The Mustangs won the non-conference away match in three sets 25-23, 25-19 and 25-22.
Senior outside hitter Skylar Caputo led the team with 14 kills and 14 digs. Sophomore outside hitter Hannah Scott put up 14 kills and senior middle blocker Katie Rethmeyer had 6 kills to assist in the victory.
“It feels great to be strafing the season off with some great wins,” Caputo said. “It was a close match but we communicated well on the court and everyone kept the energy up to come out with the win.”
The girls will travel to Marymount High School on Tuesday for a non-conference match at 5:15.
